The Consumer Product Safety Administration is causing QUITE a stir in the handmade community. A law passed back in August is set to be enforced beginning February '09. This will effectively put HUGE numbers of handcrafters out of business(including me!). Rather than regurgitating information that can be found elsewhere, I'll redirect you.

There are also a number of petitions to sign, but it is probably even more effective to simply contact your state reps.
