Above is a fine specimen from our Black Russian Tula tomato plant. Isn't it repulsive looking? They are actually quite tasty. We ate these slices on our sandwiches for lunch and I honestly wouldn't have know they weren't regular ol' tomatoes. I don't know that we'll necessarily grow them again next year, but they were a fun variation from the norm. I forgot to take a picture before I cut into this one, but here is a google image I found of what they looked like. They really aren't black, more of a brown or purplish.
