I can't say I'm shocked by the outcome of yesterday's election. I am, however, by the response by some Christians that this is a great and momentous occasion. Finally, they say, the young African-American community has a role model. Someone in a place of power to look up to. Maybe it's just me, but I am deeply saddened that one would consider a murder to be a person worthy of modeling. Character is to be looked up to, not color.
I see this as a time like no other to be in prayer that God would change the heart of our President-Elect, turn him from his wicked ways and heal our land.
